Do not blame chappel
by S.K.Halwai on Nov 28, 2006 08:19 PM  Permalink

I fully agree with Sehwag. People should keep petience & support the team at this juncture . This is not the time to blame let them further down morally .

Stonning at Kaif jouse is just rediculous which can not be justifed in civil society .

dont blame chappell: sehwag
by ashok on Nov 28, 2006 08:12 PM  Permalink

its high time someone does some drstic changes to the team and very sad to state an unstable player like shewag takes up the captaincy.....god knows where this tem is heading too.the captain itself is a at loss of confidence and how expect the players to perform.
he has no other go than to support chappell as he is the one supporting him under crisis.its shame that they try protcting each other rather than accept the downfall and prepare for better innings.we shoudl learn alot with team west indies who ahve almsot half plus palyers palyign few matches unlike india .....they need to perform or get out as they paid for it and not that fans keep quite by wastign there precious time for seeing humilating defeats one after the other .......

vvs laxman
by TLR MOHAN on Nov 28, 2006 08:00 PM  Permalink

As a cricket fan, my humble suggestion is to get back VVS LAXMAN into our one dayers immediately. He has been ignored for various political reasons. Reasons known to cricket management. give him a chance to prove himself, being a senior. Dilip vengasarkar should look into the positive approach. Everybody has failures, but still they are playing, what is poor VVS have done. Sehwag is now given captaincy, let him thing positively and invite him to the team .

Greg Chappel
by subrata on Nov 28, 2006 07:37 PM  Permalink

It makes one wonder whether Chappel has a hidden agenda? Making India lose focus during his tenure would considerably increase Australia's chances of winning the World Cup three in a row. After all, India playing to its full potential was the only obstacle to this goal of Australia !

Surely, I will blame Chappel
by Sushanta Bala on Nov 28, 2006 07:32 PM  Permalink

I will blame Chappel for the followings:-

1) His high handedness and ego for which Ganguly and senior players like Laxman had to go. With the Ganguly episode, we brought disaster to the team.

2) His killing Pathan's career

3) Hamara accha team ko kharab kaar dia

4) Being involved in dirty politics with BCCI, More, Shah, Power and Dravid against Ganguly. Why should Ganguly allow Chappel to do dadagiri in the field?

Sehwag, no wonder, you will say this. you live at the mercy of Greg. Aap gaya tho dada ah jayega! In fact, dada can replace so many of you!

If not DADA then how can sehwag be captain ?
by Venkat on Nov 28, 2006 07:25 PM  Permalink

DADA was removed from team for the reason that he is a non performing captain even though he is the only aggressive Captain for INdia.

Now how can sehwag be made a captain when he is ever green non performer.

Mr.Shewag : Just assess your self ! are u fit to be captain even though u r non performing ?

U R not ! right !

Venkat.

Don't blame Chappell: Sehwag has to be out of team
by Ashok Vardhan on Nov 28, 2006 07:15 PM  Permalink

If a player dosent have enough talent to prove himself than he dosent need to defend chappell.Chappell is in trouble because the top order batsmen are not performing well and the one who is not doing well is shewag.

Indian Cricketers
by Jayaprakash on Nov 28, 2006 07:15 PM  Permalink

Hello All,

Indian cricket team failing to perform in other countires is not new ..Right?..

But not worst as we have seen in the current Southafrica tour..

I dont support the satements of blaming Greg Chappel for the Indian team performance...

Winng a match is TEAM effort....and we rarely see that in indian team..
Indian Team must improve at leaset in Batting or bowling...so their will be chance in winng match by hook or crook........
But if you fail to perform in both .then winng match will be dream..........
Seconldy indian team is facing is..Injuires to the palyers who are in form......
Third point..Indian team selectors Should select the experinced players, instead of picking the in experinced players(dinesh,Mongia and Jaffer) I feel Ganguly and Laxman can paly beter than them...

Forth Point: Coach..Playes a moajor rule in the motivation of the team...should work out startergy to find out the weakness of the opnent party and find the ways to make use of theri weaknes..
