Don't blame Chappell: Sehwag
by Anand on Nov 29, 2006 09:51 AM  Permalink

What shewag says is exactly correct. Its the whole team which is responsible for victory or defeat. And in any game victory and defeat are common. All the credit goes to South African side, since they are utilising the conditions very well. What everyone expects from indian team is atleast a good fight. Never like to see ganguly or laxman back in team. If so the game will still become worst.

Stop watching cricket
by Rony Lobo on Nov 29, 2006 09:49 AM  Permalink

I think what Sehwag is saying is true. But normal indian person can't do this. What we suppose to do is to stop watching cricket for atleast one year. Also live match broadcasting should be banned for atleast 1 year,so that these cricketers will understand where they stand.

Meanwhile I would suggest to watch soccer 'coz its really beautiful game. Here we don't have to spend more than 6 hours.....

Don't blame Chap.
by Hemant on Nov 29, 2006 08:48 AM  Permalink

Sehbag, oye we will not blame your guru.If he has taught you the correct techniques of how to play, we accept that.We never forget that Greg was an outstsnding battesman. But Delhi da Puttar, play your natural game.Show you can bat till 50 overs, and watch the result!Believe in yourself. We don't need to tell Sachin.Tell him to come out of his shell. That does not mean he should play reckless strokes, BUT HE HAS TO TAKE THE ATTACK to the opposition. He is the only player who can do it, and also tell him that we like to see him bat through the 50 overs, like he used to do with Ganguly.Get Lakhsman at the earliest. Now you have Zaheer, Kumble, Lakhsman. only Dada is left out .Bring him quickly and show what team India can do! I wish you all the best,Sehbag!

It's True. - Rahul Dravid should quit as a Captain of Indian Cricket.
by Vipul.Bhatt on Nov 29, 2006 08:14 AM  Permalink

Blamming chappell is totally baseless.

Loss in 3rd Odi: Bad luck for India. Actually during South African Innings: 76/6, India would have easily won that match at that juncture hoping that South Africans would be collaped below 100 or 120 mark.

But Kemp's role in this match recalls the memory of Kapil Dev Innings of 175* not out against Zimbabwe in the World Cup - 1983. In that match India was reeling at 36/5, if I am correct.

In South African Innings after a collapse of Six wickets, last three players scored 198 for their team , which is really a fantastic performace in the History of Cricket.

In short actually India would have easily won that match, but due to the Poor captainship by Dravid, the South Africans put on nearly 143 runs in last 15 Overs, when the team has lost all top Order Batsman.

It is very shame on the part of Rahul Dravid.

Actually, Dravid don't know when to use which Bowlers in the Bowling Department. If this match was under the captainship of Sourav Gangully, India would have definitely won this match. In fact, when all the Bowlers were hitting like a tennis ball by Kemp, he should have instructed their Bowlers to bowl slow deliveries.

Shewag's comment on criticism of Chappell
by Gurunandan on Nov 29, 2006 07:35 AM  Permalink

It was not necessary for Shewag to show his support to Chappell in that manner as he has done. Why should Chappell be not criticised for India's dismal performance? Though the coach does not do any thing in the middle of the field he is many a time, responsible for the performance of the team.
