Its really good decession to send back pathan to india. Fast few months he didt perform well in bowling. Basically he is a bowler, so he must concentrate on bowling. The complements (kapail, akram---) are took some part to vanish his growing future. At the out set, he neglected practise and enjoyed with ramp shows. Indian cricket borad must think about each player (irrespective of his rank) must play national mtaches as well as practise session without fail.
It was too rude and a big show off from BCCI. Recalling him back was fine , but bluntly asking him to go and play domestic cricket is too harsh, he should have stayed back with the team, bowled at the nets and just be with
if u r not performing, you do not deserve a place in indian cricket... its not a pension scheme, i.e. if you have performed one in your life, you can not take your position for granted.
I think it was a very rational decision but given the unnecessary sentiments, it becomes a debate. There is no doubt that there nothing in Pathan's bowling to warrant him a play-in the current series. Whats wrong in releasing him to get Match Practise elsewhere which is the next best thing. Every country releases their players to play elsewhere if they dont fit in the scheme of the current series.
Pathan must be feeling low but he needs to understand that bigger names like Brett Lee, Wasim Akram, Kumble (the list can go on...) have faced an axe & worked their way back. He doesnt need to look far, look at Zaheer Khan. He is a completely changed bowler, thats what must motivate Pathan. He is young, has time on his side. Even if it takes him an year - whats the big deal?
Indian Cricket should look at the Aussies where they target a Player for 5-8 years Services, if he is exceptional, let him make the place his like Ponting, Warne. You must make the best of the Prime of a PLayer & leave him relaxed to prune himself to his Prime in the rest of the time.

I agree with your logic on Pathan. Your argument should have become more helpful if you also gave some suggestions about Sehwag and Sachin. The less-than-average performances of Sachin do not entitle him a place in the team permanently or until he volountarily retires, at the cost of up-coming youngsters, who would have contributed at least as much as, Sachin now-a-days does. Team building efforts for future are partially given-up, in order to favour the once-have-been-stalwarts. And about Sehwag the less we talk, the better. The team management is bent upon retaining him through dozens of failures, until he makes a good score (of course studded with a number of lives in the slips), which gives them an excuse to say, //..see...he is a match winner and an asset'//. When it comes to Sehwag BCCI is totally oblivious to the cause of Indian Cricket.
Please draw a comparison in the case of these two players also, with the exemplary Aussie practice.
To be fair to them I should also say here, that both are still agile while fielding, despite their depleted batting calibre.
Talkimg about others, Jaffer also should be dropped after the on-going series if he continues to fail.
i feel very sad and bad to learn everytime this thing if a cricketer does not perform good in 2,3 match well they started such stupid things specially with some of the good cricketer. why dont they do this to sehwag? irfan can do well i hope he have all energy, capacity and possibilites with him to perform good. every player can fail in some match even they selected the good.they keep on doing this but nothing will happen and change.

Stop blaming the one who tries to manage a group of players in to a match winning team, instead blame those who select such inconsistent players in national side.
why only pathan ..dinesh kartick and sehwag also because sehwag is also out of form and presence of dhoni automatically omitting the kartick ... This too bad decision and vengsarkar ji going on the path Kiran more who was involved in crushing the players as well as the future of team.

Two wrongs cant make one right. At least BCCI has taken one positive step which should be backed.
This really very disaapointing to send back a young promising cricketer back in the middle of a series, this can prove fatal to his future ,he will definetly be feely low at confidence.Few days back he was the only promising all rounder in the team. Why people forget he got an hundred recently ,he was not fail in all department. If that is the case then why Virender Sehwag, And Wasim JAffer doing there?why dnt send them back too.
I am totally agree with the move taken by the Selectors to send back Irphan Pathan back to home to play domestic cricket and to show his worthness and potential to play international cricket because if player is out of form then what is the criteria to keep him in the international cricket.
Who is this fool?

The person who is calling Sachin an ideot is the 'biggest ideot' ever born.
You must remember his best days when he thrashed Shoeb and Pakistan in the world cup. I am sure on that day this 'biggest ideot' must have danced with Sachin's photograph in his hand.
Please respect player of Sachin's calibre or shut-up your dirty mouth or send your father to score runs for India.

To Sunil & Zai, guys dont try to teach me cricket as i played cricket a lot. if u want to read the statics and all check out his bowling status for the past 1 year and then only comment. yes i hate him as a cricketer and thats why i wont buy products promoted by him. r u the marketing manager for those products or not Mr. Sunil/Mr. Zai?. if not, then think twice before blaming a person as i am also living in an independent nation where i can express my own views.

This is good move for sending pathan to India. He is good all-rounder and lacking confidence. He have to improve his techniques and confidence . In world cup, Pathan & Ganguly\'s bowling will give the cup for India. In west-indies , most of the grounds are slow movement. Spinners and medium pasers are better effective then fast bowlers. I think gangully and laxman will come in to one day team.
