Better to get good 'match practice' in Ranji than sitting on the bench at SA. He will be able to regain his form. Besides, its now established that those who stay away from 'Chappellway' school of teaching, are bound to succeed.

Lets discuss the topic on its face value. The coach and captain have always showed faith in Irfan Pathan's all-rounder potential. The experimentation done with Irfan (like batting up) helped show the world what he is capable of. Of course he is batting well (better than Jaffer/Shehwag), but his true potential to the team would be when he can bowl confidently. The question arises, with his current form (as a all rounder who is a bowler first), he wouldnt stand a chance to play in the test matches. So I would like to see it as the strategic solution to allow re-gain the touch. I therefore sincerely believe this would have been taken after taking Pathan in confidence and with his best interest in mind. Now its upto Pathan to make best of it...and I am sure he will. If he cannot then probably team india is better off without him. I wish him best of luck..and would think this could have been the best thing to have happend to him at this point in time. (Rather than being dropped at the end of series). Of course the question is why not Shehwag and Jaffer (give Gambhir..a promising player who is also ODI prospect). Esp. Jaffer whos not scoring and def. not playing ODI leading to WorldC.
Hi..Ratnakar Shetty.. I want ask u some thing...that If u'r son lost a Job..do u through him out of the house Immediately...or will u give him moral support...Think about it Mr. Shetty!!!!
It is very unfortunate that Irfan has been recalled. Atleast for his batting skills, the team management should have persisted with Irfan. Apart from Ganguly and Laxman, he is the only Indian who played well as batsman in the tour so far. Why single out Irfan, recall Sehwag and Harbhajan too. But Irfan will bounce back in style.
Actually its all politics it was not at all right to send irfan pathan back if he is send back due to poor form then what the hell is players like sehwag & wasim jaffer still doing there they were the first to send back to india & let them play domestic cricket if players like gangully can be rested y cant they new players should be given opportunity by resting players like sehwag, sachin & jaffer if pathan is out of form its all because the indian coach & captain have u ever seen shane warne or Mc grath send top of the order to bat in onedays no they know wats best but our indian coach & captain is keep on experimenting with players of high quality of no use in that respect gangully is the best , he should be given back the captaincy
Hi, It is not good to ask a player to return in the middle of the series. If the idea is good to send a warning to players , what are players like, Sehwagh and Jaffer doing in South Affrica. They should have been sent ahead of Pathan T.S.Gopinath
Hey, wts confident? if u leave them like this, wt abt the confident of other players, who r sitting in bench r waiting for a call. they should not send pathan alone, he has to accompanied by Mr.Shewag and Mr.Jaffer. If needed Sachin also, then ony the will know the worth of playing for the nation. By sending them, we can give chance to future stars. we can improve the bench strentgh. I know they won't drop Shewag. y they r not comparing shewag's record with any other opener in world. even Zim's r Bang's openers have better record.
