Being an international player Pathan should see take it as a positive note in his career.It is clearly stated that he is in the race of World Cup.This move is for his benefit and a lesson to the non performing people.He should work hard in nets and regain his form.
Recall by itself is right. However he should not have been singled out. What about Sehwag, Jaffer and Tendulkar? If you apply the same yardstick for all it will carry more conviction. R.SRINIVASAN MUMBAI
No, it is not right. If BCCI want to send back they should also send back to Sahwag, Dravid, Tendulkar etc. Why to make a scapegoat to poor Irfan. One should not forget that the previous Test we won not because we as a team played well but South Africa actually didnt play well. No batsman from India also sustained there bowling attack. The match was won by one and only sreesant so how come irfan be sent back.
I am of the opinion that it was the right move to send Irfan back. But I also feel he should have been accompanied by Veeru and Jaffer. Kudos to BCCI for being manly at least from now.
I feel sending back IRFAN PATHAN to india is bit a hasty decision.When team management has abundant patience in the case of Shewag,atleast one more chance should have been given to Pathan,as he is an alrounder.
Yes it is the right move to send Pathan back.infact the same should have been done to others too, like Jaffer, Shewag...Neverethless it will do Pathan some good. Like it is said, no body should take his place for granted, and Pathan was doing real bad...WHERE IS THE OLD PATHAN????
It is not surprising that Irfan has been asked to go back - that's the way our Selection Committe has operated most of the time - unpredictably!! Irfan has no one to support/back him at the Board level and hence the Board is "bored" !!He is undoubtedly an exceptional opening bowler, who made us get tremendous advantage in the Aussie series where even the greatest of Left arm quickies - Wasim Akram - rated Irafan as a real find for India. Then, along comes, Guru Gregg who decided to test out Irfan as a Batsman and that too in different positions!! Net result - a confused Irfan, who is not sure what Role he has to play and naturally, his performance is not consistent. But then , does a Board of Selectors that has no "vision" except to have a fat coffer (earned from making the players over stretch/ play more than what's good for them), have any concern as to who is sent back and who retained!! If Indian team is performing below par, the blame squarely rests with the BCCI!!
Not the way U treat a player..U just annonced the team for the tests ..after the disastrous 1 day seies..u may not have selected him...this is not the way u treat a tremendous potential....by this way u may be finishing him..a person whos already low on cofidence..No this certainly is not done...
Why only Irfan Pathan why not sehwag. It has been ages that sehwag has performed. The rules should be same for all the players or does our board and team management discreminate between players
