Indian captain
by shiva on Jan 04, 2007 01:50 PM  Permalink

why only pathan?

Even sewag, munafer, and many are not consitence.

Give chance for one new player when they are going abrod.Even Robin Uttappa is doing well in domesteic cricket.

right move
by pradeep on Jan 04, 2007 09:18 AM  Permalink

basically irfan pathan is a bowler and he has to concentrate more on his bowling rather concentrating on batting.
so we want a bowler who can bat not a batsmen who can bowl.
he is a very potential bowler for india so that is the reason he must work on his bowling basics and come back into the indian team

it is a mistake
by Dr.Chandrasekhar on Jan 04, 2007 12:18 AM  Permalink

It is wrong to send back a player like Irfan Pathan in the middle of a series and retaining a player like Shewaga who is consistantly failing.
the selectors and especially the coach and captain should be changed immediately

Yes its right decesion
by MohanGandhi on Jan 03, 2007 11:02 PM  Permalink

Yes, its a right decesion that sent him back. My worry is he is travelling back alone, Shewag would have given company to him to travel back to India.

Irfan

Pathan has ben asked to come back and play domestic cricket. In plain
words he has been dismissed from the tour.
By playing tricks in the name of Experiments a career of young hopeful
cricketer has been ruined.By giving him false hope of being a
allrounder (coming in at no.3 - the most coveted position for
batsman), his attention was diverted to batting from bowling which was
his forte - Dhobi ka kutta na raha gharka na raha ghatka.Imagine what
harm this step would do to his ego, confidence and aspiration. Will he
be able digest this insult ever ?
Though very important,Let us not worry about his individual prestige
but India has lost a budding fast bowler who could have soon become
next Prasad or Ghavari if not Kapil.

A budding career has been nipped in bud by yeam coach Chappal in
particular and cricket administrantion.

It's a double edged word
by jot on Jan 03, 2007 06:30 PM  Permalink

It can cut both ways. It can dent one's confidence or build a stronger resolve. The tough Ganguly went the latter way and has come back stronger for it. It remains to be seen how Pathan is inside. Time will tell.
