It seems indian cricket has forgotten to carve talent..this step will do nothing but will only kill irfan's confidence...why viru is being in the team and sachin..is he gud for anything...players like irfan are once in a century and everyone passes through a tough phase..
In the game of tennis, for every tournament, whoever the players are and however good they are, they will have to start play from round 1 till the finals and win the finals to get the cup and be at the top. No exception is given to any tennis player to directly go to higher rounds just because they have won previuosly or they have won grand slams. The same kind of rules should be followed for every single cricket player who would play at the international level. This can be done by making them play some minimum number of domestic cricket matches and based on their performance and strengths, they should be given a place in the team to perform at the internation level. No exception for anybody whatsoever. Each player should be made to earn their place in the team to play at the international level. This way the players have no choice but to perform at the domestic level and play at the international level and have to perform there too. If some player performs well at the domestic level and doesn\\\'t do well at the international level, that player should be made to play more domestic games before he can return to play at the international level. This should be followed strictly.
Sending Pathan back to India to play domestic cricket is absolutely a right decision taken by Selectors. But, this kind of treatment should also be done with all other senior players and only then the level of Indian team can rise like the other top cricketing teams in the world. They should realise the kind of feeling the Indian people are having for them.
this unfair behaviour with an allrounder really upset me .it shows hitlarism in cricket and will defnitely harmful to indian crcket.may god show them right path.
Irfan Pathan has become the first scapegoat of the new BCCI rule "Perform or Perish". As of now the move seems perfectly justified and appreciated. We will only get to know as time passes whether BCCI has double standards with regards to this rule or not.
I personally feel the Shewag [Unjustified grade 'A' player] should be for once dropped and should be told to regain his form. He has performed miserably in both forms of international cricket. He should be the next to go. Only then we would know for sure that this rule applies to one and all.
My best wishes to Irfan to regain his form at the earliest.
It is prefect to send a player back, if he is out of form. We shouldn't worry whether Irfan's confidence will shatter. That is a risk a player takes. It is simple - Perform every time or perish.
This was not is right step by the board to send Irfan back he is a all rounder good fielder, good batsman too well he was not doing good anough with his balling they should give him a one more chance to play a test match,
They should send Virender Sehwag back home to play domestic tournaments.
