I feel sending Pathan back is pat of some bad politics being played with him. I feel he has done quite fair with the ball and done much better with the bat then that of Sehwag and VRV Singh. I did not see any fire in VRV's bowling which is always there in Irfan's bowling. It was absolutely ridiculous decision to send him back.
This is really Unexpected ,the person who takes hat trick in first over in multan comes back ,He shoul be considered one of the best all rounder of wolrd. This is the time when a player really support and we send back. This is not setback for pathan but for indian cricket. Some loop holes in management also.
The Board has done rightly, because just see how Zaheer, Sreesanth & Ganguly are doing after they came back to India squad ie., what expected from Irfan too.
If the World cup is the target, then this is best decision made by selectors. He should, for his own good, go back to domestic cricket, get back his basics right and come back more confident. I m sure he will rock in World cup. Good luck Pathan.
Sending Pathan back to India on account of poor form is the worst move and it will badly affect his morale. Not only Pathan is going through loss of form. Virender Shewag is also is not playing well.
Irfan Pathan is an upcoming allrounder. If not with the ball, he can very well contribute with the bat. Our batting is always suspect. Irfan Pathan made a century in the practice match before the First Test. He was instrumental in helping India put a decent score. That enabled India win the match. As a result Team India regained some confidence back and it paved the way for India to win the First Test.
In the current circumstances Pathan will be an asset as he can bat well and if he applies himself can come with good score. Rahul Dravid could have made use of this attibute of Irfan Pathan to the team's advantage by making him to score runs and this in turn would have had positive impact. Rahuld Dravid's leadership and guidance skills are very poor. This team mangement is good at inviting problems from remote source and complicating things for it. A bad precedent is being set.
