Was it right to send Irfan back
by AAMIR HASSAN KHAN on Dec 26, 2006 01:19 PM  Permalink

It is totally tragic side of Indian Cricket that any player loses his form ithappens automatically.History itself repeats,it happened wirh the chairman ofIndian Cricket Vengsarkar also when he was some time ago like Irfan. Deffinetely it will shatter the confidence of a promising player like Irfan, although he is not in pick when he was at Multan, so many players now a days not not in their original form like poor Irfan, but he has been made sacrificial GOAT with the comparision to others.
According to my opinion this is not a pragmatic resulotion to the excluciating griefe of the current situation. Because this is only to draw your kind attention, that "to err is human but to forgive his divine ".So honarable charman kindly look into the problems very practically and pragmatically to avoide these sort of hazardous troubles and make it sure that your efforts or endeavours are quite favorable in respect of the achievements which must take our country to the acme of prominent and monumental success. Concludingly with a very sorry state of mind this is not to demoralize you and your action but to let yoy know that, your action is quite converse to the required parameters and measure.

Pathan sent back
by arijit on Dec 26, 2006 01:18 PM  Permalink

It is obviously not the correct decission to sent back Pathan. If Jaffer and Shewag can get so many chances though they are not in form, Pathan should get the same. Infact he has not got chance in the side except the practice matches. This will definetly depress the young pace bowler.

Mistake
by Rasik on Dec 26, 2006 01:14 PM  Permalink

This is the case for Pathan since he started to play for India. Whenever he is not performing excellent, they were excluding him from playing 11. Now they even sent back to home. I think selectors have eyes only to watch Pathan, they don't see anybodY else who ALWAYS( In fact nobody can perform 365 days!!) Just killing an excellent player..

reg:Sending back the player
by karthick on Dec 26, 2006 01:14 PM  Permalink

This is not correct to send back the player inbetween the series.

Instead of sending pathan back to home they would have send wasim jaffer.

What jaffer has performed in this series?

Anyway this is not correct. They should give chance in the entire series then only they can see the player performance.

PATHAN
by Laxman on Dec 26, 2006 01:13 PM  Permalink

Its fantastic decision taken by the selectors. Long time back they would have done the same to Virender Sehwag as well. I dont think they should take any liberty before the world cup. Well done Dravid and the selectors.

Pathan Should not be back
by sunny on Dec 26, 2006 01:08 PM  Permalink

It is most unfortunate. Whole team has performed measrably in the ODI. It may demoralise pathan. Why Sehwag has been spared by the team management. Real curlprit is Mr. Chappel whose over experiments has caused all this

Pathan sent back
by MANOJ SINGHANIA on Dec 26, 2006 01:08 PM  Permalink

One of the very few good things to have happened to Indian Cricket in recent times.Thats how I would describe this move.

There was no point in persisting with a wounded horse as it could further shatter his confidence if he was to be hit all over the park by lesser players. This lack of confidence had started to reflect on his batting also.

India can now hope and wish that he bounces back with a vengeance just like Zaheer Khan did.We definitely need him more as a frontline bowler than as a batsman who can also bowl (thats exactly what he was turning out to be in recent times).

Let us all pray for Irfans quick and spirited comeback into the Indian team.
