Pathan will be back !
by vins_me on Dec 26, 2006 04:50 PM  Permalink

It would be a good decision by BCCI to get him back to his best by prforming in the local matches but it would be even more challenging to let him face the SA batting rather than local teams. However, he is an talented potential for the world cup and a small bad phase should not deter him from being one of India's finest. this phase will also end just as Zaheer Khan's.

pathan back home
by bala on Dec 26, 2006 04:47 PM  Permalink

It has to start sometime . somewhere with somebdy, why not now, at SA with Pathan. May be they should follow it with Viru, Dhoni and other non-performers. We should not allow players/ team management to become complacent. Look at Australians, their appetite for changes never dies. I'm sure Pathan will find his way bak in team after domestic grill.

Pathan Recalled Home???
by Ashvin Oza on Dec 26, 2006 04:42 PM  Permalink

I think the move was right to get him to regain his Confidence, Bowling Rythem and to get long spells. However, should not Sewag have joined him back??? There is no Standard Yardstick for Performance Evaluation.

Irfan is too good not to return to the XI after being with people around him who are cheering him on in Baroda. Keep the Faith Irfan - we have a lot of that for you. Good Luck and take this a challenge.

Irfan
by Faijas on Dec 26, 2006 04:41 PM  Permalink

Its a good decision from the BCCI to bring pathan back home, he is the key and most important player in the indian team and also he is the future of Indian cricket. Bringing him back to baroda will help him some match practice as well as he can regain his form, he cam learn and experiment and can fix a better line and length through this. We need irfan for the world cup for our allrounder post in the middle. wish u all the best Mr. Pathan, we are with u.

No, it is not right to send irfan back
by Jyothi on Dec 26, 2006 04:39 PM  Permalink

No, it is not right to send irfan back.
Because, Irfan is very good alrounder.
He is good batsmen than any other indian batsman presently. He should be allowed to bowl limited overs, not as main bowler.

by Suraj on Dec 26, 2006 04:32 PM  Permalink

No it was not at all a good decision.....

How can u expect so many things from a single person and none from rest of them.

He has always given his best to india interms of all forms of cricket.

Yes... Pathan needs time out of Indian team
by Nithin Kamath on Dec 26, 2006 04:31 PM  Permalink

He can be a true match winner for india... But for now "YES" he needs to take some time off and build confidence in Ranji trophy... and come back with a bang with his banana outswingers... Hope him the best.. he will not let us down...

It's unfortunate
by hiteisee on Dec 26, 2006 04:29 PM  Permalink

BCCI should have sent back Virendra Sehwag back instead of Irfan Pathan. How long can we tolerate Sehwag's lack of form? It appears that partiality and power lobby is still working in BCCI. May GOD give wisdom to selectors to be professional, impartial and apply uniform yardstick to all.
