Was it right to send Irfan back ?
by M.Mohammed iqbal on Dec 26, 2006 05:30 PM  Permalink

Considering his form , i feel there is nothing wrong in sending him back so that he could participate in domestic Cricket .

Also , this would create fear among the the other players which i would think would bring out the best in them .

Regards,

Iqbal.

ha ha ha shame on indian cricket
by miya bhai on Dec 26, 2006 05:29 PM  Permalink

hahahaha these r not my words another country players$people laugh on BCCI like this

giv little bit more credit to that chappel he done excellent job to collapse indian team with a plan

first he removed seniors then played with a irfan.

we all know about irfans swing bowling he is a master class bowler.

he lost his concentration on his bowling he diverted his mind with two departments.

he will definetly come back.but its a very very cheap decision on him

he performed in the warmup match againts south african11 he made century& gangu made a gud fifty other wise we lost with those south african11s

in warmup match also

irfan didnt get a chance to play in the first test

i am requesting to all indian cricket fans to take part in my morcha to remove chappel, sharad power & few more

wat politician know about a cricket [sharad power]he dont know except politics

he played lot of politics in his short period

why kapil, sidhu, sunni, ravi r not a BCCI chairmans HAV U think about it before

last time kapil, sidhu stood for one thing but they refused

cricket is all about politics

why was sachin not opened his mouth againts selectors, wen ganguly removed,he knows nothing wil happen

No

Almost this is the end of the tour. There is no that much need to send him back. It shatters his and as well all the player's confidence.

by Mohiddin on Dec 26, 2006 05:16 PM  Permalink

If the management thinking about the up comming world cup and better performace of Indian team then they have to send back other players along with Irfan who are not performing well since long time.

Was it right to sennd Irfan back?
by Hari Om Chawla on Dec 26, 2006 05:09 PM  Permalink

Absolutely not. When you chose a particular set of 16 players for three tests, no player should be sent home unless something drastic like injury etc. happens. Just see the situation: A player is selected in test team; he has not played a single test and his performance has thus remained untested; but he is told that your form is bad, go back. If any player is to be sent back on the basis of form, he should be amongst those who had played and miserably failed in both the innnings, not Irfan.

comments on sending back Irfan Pathan
by Burugu Rangaiah on Dec 26, 2006 05:08 PM  Permalink

My opinion on sending back Irfan Pathan is right, since he has been taken and counted as a bowler. First of all I want to bring to notice that he has been unnecessarily promoted in the higher order in batting. He was successful and that has brought change in his attitude. It is real when he is bowling we could not find the Irfan of the earlier days. His line and length is lost and his bowling has become normal. He has to keep it in mind that he is a bowler and not a batsman. He has to regain his form and killer instinct by playing domestic cricket. I pray aimighty that he will definitely regain his form and earlier fame. No doubt he is shaping up well as Batsman, but he has been included in the team as an allrounder. Let us pray for his success and come back.

by Gopal on Dec 26, 2006 05:05 PM  Permalink

sending him (pathan) is correct, but selectors should sack first wasteful person of Indian Cricket (Sachin Tendulkar). Pathan regain confidence with palying in domestic cricket
