Yes, it was a right decision because he can go to the domestic matches and try to improve himself.Once he is fit in the domestic matches, he cann be called back to the team. Not only Pathan , it should be for each and every player in the team.Let it be experienced or non experienced players. Also , I feel not allowing the players to shoot in any advertisements by the BCCI for atleast first three years will make the players a little more serious. This thing BCCI has to take very seriously
It is true that he is struggling to find his rythm but he is a useful bat lower down the order.Considering thw fact that some like ajit agarkar played more that 220 ondayer,we should definitely patient with irfan. He is a geniune swing bowler and a handy bat after kapil.
this kind of vicious moves will hamper indias chances in world cup and destroys a champion player. At present i think he can walk in the team even as a hardhitting lower order batsman.
Yes its the right decision of sending him back to regain his form.....but the same thing is not happening with others like sehwag and jaffer? is it that we are not able to find a very good opening pair or they proved themselves that they are best for that slot???
This has to be followed with every cricketer and should not be biasied.
Why Only Pathan has been sent back ?If performance is the paramerter for that ,then with Pathan Sehawag should also be send back, and give Gambhir a chance to play as opener with Jafar
These people, Indian Think Tank! God knows what they are made of!! Always trying to be unique!!! Still always biased. Failures after failures for the Nazafgarh King. Still he reigns. Just a bad patch and you become impatient with Gangulys and Pathans. Man concentrate on reasons called cricket. Forget who nods with you all the time or says halo to you or not. My Goodness Gracious Skipper Sir. You are the Skipper as you Skipped two one day matches for an injury which has not been diagnosed. You are a Dry Mouthed Nonsense and you will have to taste your own medicine some day. An unceremonious exit awaits you. Just wait and see.
Sending Pathan back makes sense. His performance was woeful over the past year. He started off the year amazingly and since has deteriorated rapidly. The pressure to perform with the bat has led to his downfall i believe. When one sees the descision in its entity it makes sense becase at the moment india have a plethora o fast bowling options. Zaheer, Sreesanth, Munaf Patel, VRV Singh. Pathan is important in the bigger scheme of things like the WC07. Why have him waste his time bowling in the nets. There is nothing like match practice and he is not going to get any in South Africa in his present form. We have a decently strong middle order we should not need to strengthen the lower order with ppl who can bat rather than bowl. We do not need to go the way england went this ashes with opting for giles instead of panesar.
Other teams do this all the time but undr the guise of 'personal problems' or health problems. If this had been dome after discussing with Irfan and if he accepted thew suggestion in the proper spirit, then I do not see anything wrong. Irfan is too good a cricketer not to come back with a bang. We have had some outstanding cricketers in the past getting out of the game for other reasons -like Shivaramakrishnana, Kambli etc
