BCCI should have recalled Jaffer, Sehwag,Munaf (being unfit)alongwithy Irfan Pathan. It was really surprising that player of the callibre of Zaheer Khan were kept out of Indian team for such a long time. Is not it sheer waste of talent?
Its crazy, the only thing pathan said was inspite of every thing he still is a better bet than VRV Singh.
Sending him back not only demoralises him but also shows the dictatorship and immature behaviour on part of Dilip Vengsarkar & Co. How long will he hold on to Jaffer as well. We could loose the test by not including Pathan and Gmbhir in Kingston Mead.
yes, Its a right move. because he is one of the main palyer in Indian cricket. take ganguly as an example. he had palyed some domastic match and some county cricket. now he became the stangest palyer in india. you can see his performence in SA's test and practice matches. I think it wont shatter pathan's confidence. he is the quick learner. so this will help him a lot. In the mean time the senior cricket have to give some tips and advice to him
I think it is a right move. Because recent days Pathan's form was not good. He is not able to swing the ball as well as his speed is very low. I think he is a good player. I also think that he will return back to the Team India after the hardwork in the domestic Cricket.
Can there be two criteria of selection ? The answer is YES, a perfect example is given by BCCI, by sending Ifran back to India to get his basics right cos his bowling is gone wayward,,,and other bhaisaab our Nawaab is still there saying that i will not score cos my place is secured,,,,,,,,,,,,i can only say that IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA, the famous govinda movie song,,,,,,
It was the right decision to send back the players who are not performing.....(though its sad that its a Jr.) But, its a very prudent step. It should be developed as a practice....No player can take his position granted in the team.I honestlt feel Sehwag must hv been made to accompany Pathan. ANyways.....A very Good Start...( Hope there's nothing political in this....!)
I feel Irfan is a very handy player a team can have. his main strength is bowling and right now he is not doing that right, so i feel it is better for him to practise more bowling in the domestic cricket. same should be with Shewag he should also be sent back since players are taking things for granted. when ganguly was removed from the team for bad performance , than i don't find any reason for shewag staying in the team, let him play domestic cricket and prove himself like dada.
