by baljeet singh on Dec 27, 2006 04:02 PM  Permalink

yes this is right decision taken by the management to send back irfan because he is unable to show his ability. I think Sehwag also to send back along irfan

Sehwag Should Also be KICKED OUT
by Deepak K Singh on Dec 27, 2006 04:01 PM  Permalink

Ofcourse, Irfan had to go.

But, probably his number should have come after SEHWAG

Today again SEHWAG is out on ZERO of the only ball played by him.

If I were VENGSARKAR, I will not let him BAT in 2nd Inning and send him back before this match is over or the same night when the match is finished.

It is really shocking news when Irfan was asked to go back to india. They could have sent back Shewag also.

SEHWAG SHOULD HAVE BEEN PACKED HOME
by Ramamurti on Dec 27, 2006 03:41 PM  Permalink

I was shocked to learn that good players like Irfan was sent back home while lousy players like Sehwag are still retained in the Squd. Its quite an achievement NOT to play well and still be retained in Playing 11 despite successive failures. See even today Sehwag was out for a duck. BCCI Selectors need some serious thinking to avoid further debacle to Team India.

Good message to all.
by Balaji M L on Dec 27, 2006 03:39 PM  Permalink

The message is very clear that if youo don't perform you are out and the option of coming back is open for not only Pathan but all the players in county with their performance. The next target should be Sehwag who is out in the very first ball of the 2nd test to get his technique professional like openers apart from his vice captaincy taken out ,in all Dilip Vengsarkar is really making wonderfull moves with the politics and pressures around in the best way possible.

Irfan Pathan Sent back
by Mathew J on Dec 27, 2006 03:38 PM  Permalink

It is a excellent decision. We are living in a competitive world and cricket is live in each and every Indian, it is necessary for players to perform at the highest level. Such decision will keep others on the toes and ensure performance. There is no point to have expected key players sitting on the bench. It will not beat the moral of the player since he will know that he can't be complacent.
