It's a good move. Irfan initiated his carrier as a pace bowler who developed into an allrounder. He should focus to his bowling. If he is not bowling well, there is no place for him in the team.
It should happen to all others too, wheather Shehwag, Sachin or Jaffer etc.
They should be given max 5-7 innings to perform or send them back to domestic cricket.

Probably Indian selectors led by Vengsarkar could not muster the courage to send at least half of the non performaing members of the team most prominantly Sehwag? How long are we going to carry his burden? Today also he bagged a love. (Zero) and he dosenot seem to learn from his failure? Send him back and stop making other like Irfan scapegoats.

In indian team we got some gods whom management believes irrespective of their performances on the blind faith that we have to belive in got what ever it may mean
Again The BCCI shows inequality among the players, it is calling back pathan but not sewag. Both are failing and lack of form then why do they consider sewag in to the playing eleven and sending home pathan. In my view its the BCCI and Team management who has to make pathan fit, because he is one of our strike bowler but both BCCI & TEAM Management promoted to one down as batsman and made him lack of form. They should back up him till he retains form.
I do not want to say yes or no! Considering his batting ability, he could have been accomodated. These kind of decisions should be taken only if situation warrants and decided by the Coach, Captain, vice Captain & senior players. Especially when there is no other alternative.
Its absolutely correct Decesion to send Irfan Back to India,
When he was not in form he should do practice and work out for his form, But no, he was busy to earn money through advertising, singing contract and walking on the ramp. He ought to realise that only because of cricket he is here right now, If he will through out from the team nobody make him a brand ambessoder for his brand, only this kind of electric shock can awake Indian cricketers, I think Sehwag should also send back with Irfan, but this is India, it will take long time to change the things in India, we should adopt the Australian policy, which is only The performance get You Inside the team, but when this day will come it will be a dream for all of us.
