Now he is neither a bowler nor a batsman.Better Pathan has to do a Pooja same like Ganguly Dada. Then only , he can Surive. Dada Had made enough money through his games & ad's. Why don't u think a coach From West Indies Mr Vivian Richards . If we will get a batting coach like VR, our batsman will be getting enough boost to hit the ball
Yes, Mr.Vengsarkar is right. Atlease henceforth those who are not performing in match, should send back immediately, OR otherwise while selecting team do not give importance other than game performance.
Also there are so many new-comers who are not getting chance to play.Give chance to new-comers who are performing well.
It is wrong to send Pathan back before the end of the tour. This will demoralise him. Don't you think Sehwag is the one who should actually be sent back. What is he doing in the team - busy collecting eggs! Which current batsmen is in form and putting up good scores consistently? None of the batsmen. If India won the first test, it is all because of our bowlers.
Indian Cricket Board took bold decision by bringing back Pathan due to bad performance in this tour. To rectify his performance I think that the board takes the right decision. In this context I want to say that board must sent Sewagh back also because his performance is also horrible. In Indian law all people get same punishment due to same crime. So I can say that Sewagh has done the same crime as Pathan. So for that Sewagh should penalize in the same pattern as Pathan.
It can prove to be better for his future as he'll certainly try to concentrate more by playing some domestic cricket. There is no doubt that he'll be back to the national side in the future.
Another point is, if BCCI found Pathan's performance so bad to call him back from the ongoing tour, why not VRIENDRA SEHWAG? I just don't understand why are we carrying him unnecessarily who has failed to perform since quite a long.
It was not expected from Deelip Vengsarkar and Chappell who have played Test Cricket for long time. Sending back in between the series is bad for the moral of the team. Hire and Fire can only be possible if you have a complete second team ready as the Australian have. What is the yardstick for failure. Then Sachin can also be called back to play in Kanga League ?
