Irfan sent back dicision
by S.K.Yadav on Dec 27, 2006 09:40 PM  Permalink

I couldn't find that it is batter decision to send back Irfan Pathan in between series due to loss of form.Irfan is a magnificant young fast Indian bowler he done well for Indian team in his short carrier, failed in some matches couldn't be the a players selection. If you can play with the most flloped batsman in team then why you couldn't take a bowler with you who failed in few matches,it will be heart his confidence as well as his passions.

Irfan Pathan

I think it is not right to send a high profile player back.According to me pathan should have been dropped from tem rather than taking him to S.A. sending him back.Though Pathan is not delivering his best but this was wrong with him

Exclution of Pathan
by rohit on Dec 27, 2006 09:13 PM  Permalink

Well i dont think his exclusion is justified. Atleast he was doing good in one field. I dont think the standard of Indian domestic Batsman is upto international standard. He can easily make them his scalp. He should be given more time. Sehwag is not performing in ant department then y is he in the team.

wrong dicision
by Sudhir on Dec 27, 2006 08:59 PM  Permalink

wrong dicision, it was not good decision taken by team manangement, why they r sending back Pathan only,
why not sehwag & jaffar, it will be fair if they first send back Sehwag

Yes it was good decision to send Irfan back
by Axl Rose on Dec 27, 2006 08:26 PM  Permalink

We all need to think practically than react emotionally. Irfan Pathan is a rare talent in our country who can bat and bowl (genuine allrounder). Moreover he is only 22. There is no point in keeping him in South Africa if all he is going to do is sit outside and be the 12th or the 13th man. Instead he could come back and work with him mentor on fixing some of the technicalities. Same goes with Sehwag. Look at Sachin and Wasim Jaffer. Immediately after their return from SAF they have agreed to play for Mumbai. I am sure Sachin is thinking that getting that match practice in Ranji Trophy would be a great confidence booster. Sehwag should also do the same thing. Infact Ganguly should play for Bengal immediately after he comes back home.

Let us not over react
by cricfan on Dec 27, 2006 08:17 PM  Permalink

We fans always overreact. While Sehwag's position in one-days is questionable, he averages 51+ in test matches. His last 10 innings produced:
36,41, 180, 31,65, 0, 4, 4, 33, 0.

Kingston and the first SA test were played on a very difficult wicket where hardly any front-order batsmen scored except Dravid.

Let us not rush on Sehwag. He is a good batsmen and all good batsmen go thru ups and downs.

by dharmendra vishwakarma on Dec 27, 2006 08:07 PM  Permalink

if pathan is send back to join the domestic cricket to improve his game then sehwag will also be send back to do same , as he is not doing well and not to be taken back in the team untill he regain his form.
