No it is not right on the part of the selectors to send pathan right in the middle of an important tour.if they had sent pathan home, then they lshould have sent shewag and dravid &munaf also . when you send a player in the middle of a tour, the player loses confidence in himself.it is one way of thinking
second way of thinking. the selectors have applied a "red hot stove theory"this should be an eye opener for all other players who do not perform well
In the 3rd test second innings .... with a slender 1st innings,70 or 80 runs more in the second innings India could have dreamt of a possible victory. That would have been possible with a person like Irfan in the team batting after 5 wkts are down !!!! K. Mallick
