Absolutely it was a right step...but if this can be taken against some more players like Sehwag and others...it will be more beneficial to the Indian Cricket.
It is good that call back Irfan, It gives his confidence more thru practising more domestic cricket as world cup is around the corner and he is one of the best youngest bowler we have.
Same way why they didn't call back Shewag?,
one of my friend send a mail saying
In South Africa, Shewags friend called to shewags mobile on 27th December which is not reachable, so he tried shewags hotel phone(land line)recepiton connect to his room.
after few rings, one women (shewags wife) took the receiver said " hello"
Then friend said " I'm xyz, (Name ) just came from canada" i would like to talk shewag and meet him.
Wife replied please hold two minutes as shewag just went crease to open the fist innings of the second test with South Africa and he will come immediatly after faceing 2 balls please hold.
It means his wife as well awre that he is going to face two ball only.
injustified to irfan, certainly he deserves a chance, and he is better than vrv singh, i expected the inclusion of irfan in durban test. till date no other player has scored century in south africa, except irfan. he is certainly a useful allrounder and he should have been included in the playing 11.
Needless to mention that indian sports particularly Cricket is in totally grip of favourism. It is quite evident from Pathan Go Back Issue. Think I agree that Pathan is not in form rightnow but what BCCI is doing ForVIRENDER SEHVAG, Is he performing better than Pathan or any other Player .In every match we are loosing because of him only .
NOW BCCI has to decide whether they are thinking for country or for the individuals Thanks

Yes. He is the man who spoiled the sprit of our bowlers and batsmen in this series. It started from 2nd one day international when south Africa were 63for6. two overs from pathan changed the complexion of the game. It not only spoiled the rhythm of other bowlers it spoiled the batsmen's confidence also. If india would have won that match, it would have been different story. Whoever taken his place for granted in the team should be sent back. Now ganguly realises the importance of practice, batting and spirit.
i think irfan would have done better job opening thank sehwag or jaffer , tips from wasim akram would do a world of .gud to irfan ,.Irfan i think should think about his bowling seriously because once he used to be main bowler for india and now he is not just taking wickets but conceding a lot of runs per over and sehwag shd be sent back
It will be a great loss to Indian cricket,as our selectors are finishing a promising player.
He is a nice batsman too and in good batting form presently ,his batting could have been utilised in place of Sehwag, who deserves to be sent back.
Also when Srisanth and Zaheer are in good nick there was no shortage of bowler, rather batsmen are in their poorest form ever and selectors have ignored his knock of 111 runs in the same tour.
"HAS GOD HAVE TOLD TO SELECTORS THAT PATHAN TO BE USED AS BOWLWER ONLY ? "
