The atual root cause for the poor performance of the players is the huge money they are getting from the commercial ads.. the point is that the A grade players get only Rs 80 Lacs per annum where as per ad they must be getting over 2 to 3 Crores. Now, each top class player is doing atleast 3-4 ads per annum and must be earning atleast Rs 10 Crores per annum. Now most of this ad money must be "Black" (coz if it is white, more than half will be taken away by the Income Tax, Wealth Tax and other people) and the players' must be getting engrossed totally in effectively investing and hiding this money. I feel the big money in the game is spoiling the performance of the key players. Hence, all the big companies should not have only the cricketers in their ADS but also have other sportsmen, writers,poets,musicians,film stars, etc .. The thing is that in India nothing is going right and we need radicle changes to really make India "Mera Bharat Mahan".. only saying won't make us Mahan.The rule books/laws etc drafted by the British and then amended by our people are obsolete and needs to be revamped/changed.We need to change the laws/rewrite them according to the present times to be MAHAN
Yes, it was a bold and right decision to send irfan back. I feel other non performers like sehwag, jaffer, vrv singh and munaf patel should follow irfan.
gambhir should come in playing XI. Players performing in domestic cricket like ishant,nehra should be called to south africa.
Yes I think it's a better decision. Yes he made a good score in the match before the test but he bowled as pity . He is bowling all rounder his prime job is bowling if he isn't do it better its not fare. Here the selectors gave him a chance to make better in 1st class
I fully agree that all non-performers should be sent back. Rather I feel that they should not be selected in the first place.
Ranji Trophy is the benchmark. Only those batsmen should be selected who score tons of runs in the Ranji Trophy and the bowlers who are taing 5 wickets or more. Free fund tickets and relaxation does not bother selfish ones.
Sehwag should have been shunted out long back and perhaps through Gautam Gambhir we could have saved this second test match. They say form is temporary and class is permanent. I doubt this applies to Sehwag who hs a big atitude problem and lots of free fund appearance money in ODIs and Test Matches plus all the ads., money he is getting is undeserved. Non-performer is being paid in crores.
I wonder such cricketers do not have self respect? Why can't they thenmselves say that I need a break. Daien Martyn is an excellent example in this.
Don feel proud that we won the first test ..it was once in a blue moon luck...we can see what is indian team in the next 2 tests. Already they are on the verge of losing the 2nd now..Team india itself can come home and play with some college guys. All are unfit ..and pls don insult teams like australia and south africa to pla against india in reputed games like world cup.
Its better indian prime minister can arrange some inter college competition in delhi and make indian team one of the participants.Even then we cant assure india will win the tournament..
It is unfair to send back Irfan Pathan back to India. He could have been used in the all rounder slot. He was batting well. He could have been used in short spells. Instead of VRV Singh Irfan is far better and superior. Poor guy. His confidence will be shattered. They should use the same yard stick for batsmen as well.
