This is really above from my head that why Pathan was send back. I think Pathan was performing better the R.V.Singh and he is having the capablity more the R.v. singh as a bowler and as a Batasman. If Pathan is out than Sewagh should be thrown out from the Indian Team along with Sachin and Dravid.
If we recall back the same Pathan was Indian teams Hero and now Mr. d.Vensarkar thinks along with the BCCI that pathan is zero, on what ground ? Can any one ask them what was the merit for disqualfying Mr. Pathan from Indian Team.
I think it is very good step to send back irafan to India, but at the same time Mr. Sehwag & Tendulker also has to be send back to India. But since the series on the completion sending back of Sehwag & Tedulkar is meaning less at this moment.
After the series all the the non performers should be kept bak to the domestic cricket and not to the international cricket
How r we going to win world cup.Because present team is playing against southafrica is very poor in performance,specially all top 5 batsman have failed.I suggest that we change captain and some players.Why pathan was sent back.If we are winning through pathan,s batting is it not enough for indian team or they should win throuh only indian batting? I don't understand why arnt we keeping pathan as batsman and let we have four(4)bowlers asusual for bowling.Pathan is an advantage to team as extra bowler on top of these four bowlers.At present pathan and laxman only r the batsmans who are comfortable against teams like south africa and australia.Rest are not able to stand for 15 minutes on the pitch. So i douht that these batsmans like dravid,sehvag,tendulkar and jaffer will give us win in world cup.
I thing this was not a correct decision to send Irfan back.According to me just not in good form is the enough reason for sending a player back in between the series.This should have been given a thought before selecting a player for a particular tour.And once the player is selected should not be sent back for this reason.
I agree that Cricket is the game where the form of a player plays a very important role but on the other hand if the form of a player goes down then how can one ensure that by sending back the player will gain his form in the domistic cricket.
Also I think here plays the very important role of the coach , the caption and the whole team who cam motivate the player to get the form back.If the coach and caption cannot do this much then what for they are there.I think they should be sent back as they are not capable to do there job properly.
So I seriously thing that the problem is not in the player but it in the coach who is not able to motivate the player to perform their best.
If one keep on sending the players back who are not in form,then the day will come that in a series the whole team will be back to india and only the coach will be playing the match.
My only suggestion is that we need to seriously rethink on our openers. If you need a world class opener the only way is to blood someone between 16 to 19 years. At age 26 "You cannot adapt". Time you got Shikar Dhawan "or" some other under 19 guy to open and in 2 years time you will have a world class opener.
There was little logic in sending Pathan back. That too on a most unacceptable ground of loss of form.There is no definitive way to define in form or out of form player. It is only our so called experts and media claim that one has regained form based on a single innings performance.There are plenty of referencs available that such claims often gone awry in the very next innings performance (poor) of the same player. I personally believe that our players are generally over rated compared to the benchmark standard of Australia. There are negligible few in the circuit who are more or less consistent in performance.While talking about the performance of our bowlers, can we name one who can consistently bowl 90 miles per hour or can make the ball swing or move eitherway or extract bounce even on lifeless pitch at ease. None.We never had. Success of our bowlers is always annexed with a note-condtions apply.If all favourable conditions exist chances of their worthwhile performance enhance.Similarly our batsmen require flat lifeless (bounceless) pitch and lesser mortals (bowlers)than those (Lee/Mcgrath/Shoaib/Bond)who can not hurl bowl at a pace of 90 miles per hour.
Few people say sending back pathan in the middle of the series will hurt pathan, This statement can be proved as worng. Pathan should take things in a positive way he should consentrate on his bowling by playing some domestic matches, whereas batting is a plus point for him. He should accept the challange and try to prove himself, he will definately get a chance as as ganguly got. Other non peroformers should have also been send back such as 'sehwag'
