i think it is wrong to send pathan back as it could break down his confidence instead they should have sent sehwag in place of pathan. he is a good ball rounder although he is not performing with the ball he is performing with the bat and that could have been a great advantage for the indian team as they lack in tail ender batting order
irfan was struggling with his rhythm in recent matches.so it is better to have some match experience to regain his form and confidence than waiting in the bench.hats off to the team management.fantastic and innovative decision making.he is a key member in the side as far as the world cup is considered.he can contribute with the bat and ball as he did in the past.
That is not a right way to send pathan back to home to gain form back. if they go though this way they have send all the players back who was not perform well since three four months he hasn't performed badly what i feel if they go through all the players performense they willl find deffenately the hole team in bad time let them give rest for one year to all the players to gain there performense back.
It was very wronge what the Indian cricket management did, There were worse performers than Pathan, but they were escused (eg. Jaffer).Why? Pathan had peformed with the bat better than anyother specialised batsmen. Its a very said story for the Indian cricket. He is the only allrounder India has after Kapil Dev.
