Yes,I think he is the one of best player in the world.but It is to erly to say that,becouse there are some other players like Ponting and Lara,Who are playing better.I know that he is a good player but continuity is very important.I hope that one day he will be the second Sachin for India.

What is the aim of technique bating? Is it to collect good runs? If it is, then Dhoni is doing that very well. The defination of technique is not what old or other players play. Dhoni has a different new technique and he is the only maker & discoverer of those.
He is certainly one of the most exciting and talented wicket keeper-batsman of contemporary cricket comparable to the best.He needs to be preserved and nurtured.His batting position at least in the ODI's needs review and he deserves to go up the order both for the team's and his own benefit.Too much adulation and financial benefits may affect him adversely like many others and cut short a brilliantly budding career.Hope he remains rooted to the ground and serves the country for a long long time and rises to greater heights and accomplishments to achieve his full potential.So far he has done the country proud and fully deserves the number 1 position.Heartiest congralutations tooni.May God be with him always to bless him and protect him.

No doubt ms dhoni is at the top by his tremendous batting performence .His average and strike shows all the story,he has average of above fifty and strike rate is also above hundred,no batsman has thesuch type of record in cricket history.

hey what heppen to you, are you J of dhoni perfomences, u just shut up and listen, time has changed for indian cricket new boys are performing in every matches and our captain is playing his life best cricket as he ever played and about dhoni he is bating like a true champion, feilding like a horse he is always there in every matches and you calling him tarzan who don't have style in batting, no matter how's he bat, he is getting run and enough for every one.. naved

Then what are the requirements for the rating....the man with text book shots...? natural players? should they rank the players according to the beauty of the stokes they play?? u r good for nothing man...ranking is based on the runs they are getting...and the performance ... how a player plays is not the requirement...is he capable of taking vhallenges, winning the matches, contributes to the team...thats all......and dhoni is a fantastic player...future of indian cricket....dhoni ki jai....

How can one say that Dhoni is No.1 Batsman in ODI ??? He is like Tarzan,trying to play polo by swinging from branch to branch. Come on,the guy has no technique and is just gifted to connect the ball so very often.Can we rate someone just because he manages to hit the ball anyhow ??

People are interested in players who can win matches for his team.Dhoni is one who can do that.He has got a good strike rate,good avg,match winning knocks ,what more is wanted.

Absolutely,a wonderful decision. He changes his batting style according to the situation.Besides he says he'll do anything for the team. What more can one expect? He's proved himself in every order,which is something really difficultand cannot be achieved by everybody!
After all he has a very neat and calm temperament. Nothing more should be expected of him and it is not fair!

It is the duty of a batsman to score runs on every opporunities he is getting, no matter whether he is a stylish batsman or not... In that case, Dhoni is the no.1 in the world now. You must agree the fact instead of critising him. We all know that he is simply hitting the ball with full force, not a stylish batsman , but the fact is that he is scoring runs than other batsmen and he is a match winner for India. Just appreciate him instead of critising..

I totally agree with Mr. Gopi. Tell me what batting in cricket is all about? To connect the ball and manage to hit it in the right areas, which Dhoni does brilliantly and that comes to him very naturally. Purpose of all batting techniques are to connect the bat with the ball without getting out, Dhoni has an awesome average of 50 plus in ODIs, do you still call that a fluke. No doubt Dhoni is best among the lot who has won a number of matches single-handedly for the country and we love this TARZAN for that! ....Moin

An ODI is not jus abt technique.... A gr8 ODI batsman has to possess great timing, placement, an excellent strike rate and above all consistency(read variance in scores) and versatility to bat the opposition out in all kinda situations...
A proven match winner, Dhoni has performed well at whatever no. he has come in and not to forget...there has never been a newcomer who has adorned the hall of fame so fast..

I am sure Dhoni must be liking this...And yeah!!! if you think he is like Tarzan, I agree he is, coz Tarzan was unique and so is DHONI.
