This is absolute Rubbish
by Mandar Kulkarni on Sep 28, 2005 01:58 PM  Permalink

This is absolute Rubbish Board has Supressed the view's of coach whom they have appointed to win Indian side 2007 World Cup. All this has done purposely to Save Mr. Ganguly (Captain) as we all know the fitness of Ganguly is how? We all have seen him on field while running between the wickets as well as chasing the ball upto boundary. I stongly belive India require new Captain who can win Indai World cup 2007.

A View of common man
by pradeep kumar on Sep 28, 2005 01:50 PM  Permalink

Sir,
For quite some day we Indian are suddenly more intrested in so called Gangully Chappell Episode. Every where be it TV, Internet ,News Paper or News Magazine discussing only about Cricket and secondly The Tenis of Sania Mirza. As if these will solve our National problem like poverty illitracy malnutrition etc etc.I suppose what happen inside dressing room between coach and captain is like any house wife and husband problem which people involve solve themselve. But as we know if the problem increases to ego level between two spouses it comes out in open in the society. That's what happen in this episode. One says Captain is physically and mentally unfit..May I ask Mr.coach wheather he fit on those two counts or not .I suppose he double in age than Indian Captain. BCCI should check it carefully in this regard. Next He clarify in media that it was private talk between him and Captain. One may ask him whether that was right time to discuss Secondly with what capacity either as a coach or national selector he was advicing the captain?. Above all he wrote a e-mail like school teacher to the board President .He can apparise this to board at right time. But among all this hassel media reaped to much harvest.

Although i am not regular viewer of cricket metches but what is happening these days in indian dressing room is unfortunate. the stand given by BCCI members is just useless. can't they have guts to penalise Ganguly. why chappel is beiing blamed for telling truth. The members which comprises so called patron of indian cricket Gavaskar & shastri have joined their only for TEA not for any serious business i think. the statement of BCCI members will only help indian players to degrade themselves as the watchdog is still busy in dirty politics regardless of what is current situation of the game.

Is Chappel a lair
by Sandeep Aggarwal on Sep 28, 2005 01:41 PM  Permalink

There is no doubt that Ganguly is past his prime. He was an able batsman (except aginsnt genuine pace) and captain. For last few years there is hardly any performance which needs any mention. Now look, who had come to his rescue - another player, who is not performing at all - Harbhajan Singh. Except for one series, where Harbhajan tormented Aussies, there is hardly any performance of worth from Bhajji.

Indian team does not need any more stars, it needs hardworking chaps like Sanjay Bangar , Romesh Powar.

indian cricket changing times
by abhishek on Sep 28, 2005 01:39 PM  Permalink

well 2 things are important

1 Ganguly should think of retiring within the next year and handover the charge to a new captain

2 Chappell should GO. This man is unfit to coach the Indian side. After this fiasco, it is obvious he is going to have a tough time handle the team.

Ther idea is to work with others in building the side rather than push your views in the way these two have been doing using media as a weapon

Chappel
by Suryanarayanan on Sep 28, 2005 01:35 PM  Permalink

Absolutely brilliant.I sincerely hoped that Chappel would not agree to such compromise formula and as well quit. That would have been quite a step.Infact he should have.
