There ia new dimension now. Who deserves to be sacked ? Chappel, Saurav or Mahendra ? In the interest of Indian cricket and World Cup 2007, I recommend we sack the last two.
Greg ! Belonged to worlds best team ever Aussies !
Surely Aussies should have different approach and thinking to lead a best team. We all aware how successful Aussies were now. Let us bring some new idea from outside country for that reason only we bought coach from Australia. If our side want to take to winning side then we should leave greg to work freely without any interference. Let gangully give out way for nations good self.
We the fans have every right to have answers to the above questions. This is blatant dictatorship and I thought this is a country of democracy. Maybe I was mistaken. Let us start by saying that "Yes, the players should not be playing the blame game". So who will answer our questions, surely the BCCI should. How can we get it to answer our questions. Let us not watch any matches till we get our answers straight. Let us stand together and show our solidarity towards the value that we provide to cricket. The BCCI is taking the Fans for a ride. Remember it is us, the fans, who have made you the richest. How was Mr. Dalmiya invited to the meeting, why? There were only two choices available. 1) One of them goes. 2) Both of them are out.
The BCCI has made a bigger mess by trying to play down the issue with a compromise. A compromise is not possible. I do not think that the ego of either of those involved would allow the other to bury the hatchet. If it was possible then the issue wouldn't have reached this stage at all. No we do not accept the decision. It is a lie to the fans which if tolerated is detrimental to "best interest of Indian Cricket". Stand up, reject the decision. SAY NO.
Very well written article. Mr. BCCI President and so called everything of Indian cricket Mr. Dalmiya should read this article and answer all indian cricket fans.
The reason BCCI has not sacked Chappell is they have given him a chance to quit on his own. If he has any self-respect, he will do that. Otherwise, he will continue as a lame-duck coach, but BCCI has no choice, because as per the contract they are bound to pay him till 2007 anyway, so might as well make use of whatever service he provides.
All this has finally boiled down to a big farce and show off. BCCI thinks that all Indian Cricket Fans are fools to take all this drama.
It is not in anybody's interest that all this have to be done in public. The entire BCCI executive committee, Coach & Captain are party to this farce drama.
In the best interest of our Country's image let us be a bit more serious next time and not become a laughing stock in front of the whole cricketing world. It is a shame for senior people like all these bunch of responsible people that we have heading Indian Cricket to fool around with the entire nation and cricketing world. Enough is enough.

So now Mr. Jimmy, Mr. Dalmiya is kicked out, Mr. Chappell is taking even the captain's decision on field(coz. our captain is a spineless creature),and he has raised the spirit of cricketers and politicians so much that your dream Indian team is getting beaten by even the SA XI. Keep him and Mr. Pawar, and the day is not far when Bangladesh XI will be hard to beat.
The article of Prem Panicker is interesting indeed.
The problem with Indian cricket is that the vast majority of the cricket lovers in India are very passive and would not mind what is going on in the inner circle. No doubt then, that the likes of Dalmiya have become huge Colossus, and the cricket 'premis' are just treated like underlings as they take it as it comes, by being mute, it is these mute cricket lovers have turned themselves into a fodder to feed the likes of Dalmiya and the likes of him. If Ganguly is today what he is as a cricketer, it is only because of the mute support that he enjoys, from the likes of Dalmiya. Kick Dalmiya out and no doubt you will see the 'Team India' fit to beat any team in the world, and keep the likes of Chappel as his ways are the ones which are a must to ignite the sagging spirit of the Indian cricket team.
PP Nice letting of of steam....no wonder they were branded as a bunch of jokers ...they still are and they will continue to be be..we can, fans, all but fret and fume.
It is surprising that Ravi Shastri(talks upright), Gavaskar (very political)and Venkat(come about as a disciplinarian) succumbed to JD and co is a blot on these gentlemen..either they diassociate from this statement or they have no right to comment on the well being of Indian cricket from now on...crass...
