Of constants and variables
by SUBBU IYER on Sep 27, 2005 09:07 PM  Permalink

The outcome of the "review" committee was a foregone conclusion. Point that the shameless president is making is that Sourav Ganguly is to Indian cricket what the speed of light in vacuo or the Planck's constant, is to physics. One simply does not tinker with those things!
What is really sad is that the said comm has totally bypassed the issue of the showing in the tri-series. Was not it formed, BEFORE the spat, to precisely address this issue? Whither that review?
Or was the spat converted, with a Macheavillian stroke, to a crisis in order to eliminate a discussion on the form of the captain and some players?
The only thing that gives hope is that the game, indeed, delivers its own justice. A bit more of fishing outside the off-stump, a few more smiles of the Cheshire cat variety(to borrow Aravind's simile!)and all the king's horses and all the king's men won't be able to put Humpty Dumpty together again!!!
Wait for that day to happily toast Indian cricket.

Don't u understand chappel is being used by someone else, or else how can he learn and gather so much info abt Ganguly and his past in such a short time of 2 months and that too in 4 matches / one series itself.

Its unbeleivably disgraceful

I was really happy that India has got a good coach and that he could make some difference owing to his straight forward and disciplained nature.

But BCCI politics have turned my hopes down.

This is only the sport 1 bn indians show interest in.

Its very annoying to know that Ganguly has to continue despite his miserable performance over a long time.

I think we, the people of India, have to start a revolution again to set the things right.

"STEP DOWN Mr.GANGULY" and respect the wish of majority of Indians.

Its good for both you and the Indian cricket.

A very disappointed Cricket fan.
