We all were hoping to see the differences between the coach and captain to be solved. The reviewing comitee had done its part to solve it.Now when we all feel that the fire is completly put off ,Mr.mahendra's words have produced smoke from the dying fire.
As a cricket fan, All I wish to see is a Better TEAM.
Team you represent our nation, so please bear that in mind.
This entire chapter at best should be regarded as one of the biggest farces on the face of this universe. They tell you something about the root cause analysis in the software lingo which is about fixing the core of the problems and not beating around the bush. Here people have gone ahead and created another insetad of solving the one. It makes a ridiculous fool of one and all following Indian Cricket. I appreciate your anger against this sinister ploy of a few people who want to stick to power and can go to any extent to do it.
Chappel should have been warned in the best interest of Indian cricket. If he cannot earn respect from his fellow cricketers, he is not the right person to sit in that chair. It's just hardly few months he started, and he tried to break the bondings , and create mis understanding amongst the players.
Mr. Mahindra him self was elected by unethical means and now avoids another election under the observers appointed by Calcutta High Court. Would you exepct a much better reply from a unethically elected man and who respected no democracy?
We the fans of the Indian cricket team have to take some real decisions against all these comedians who think they are the real kings.
By the by can you please suggest any way to take the BCCI to task for all its undemocratic means and failers. If yes please suggest so that we can take them to task.
The only question comes to mind is who is the bigger looser ? Ganguly or Prem Panicker, because of ppl like Prem Panicker and his childish comments ppl like Ganguly will stay and the real talented ppl will remain outside the playing 11. Only god can save India, which has ppl like Ganguly and Prem Panicker.Get well soon Prem, our wishes are with you.
It is very sad that we the Indian cricket side have to, first of all, take the services of a foreign coach to succeed and on the other hand don't show slightest of professionalism in our game, attitude. The arrogance & disrespect that players like Ganguly & Bhajji can show towards the regulations that need to abide by cannot be simply because they have facts on their side but because of the support from folks like Mahendra Singh and Dalmia. These people have caused more damage to the game than we all can imagine.
Bottom-line is if India really wants to win the next world cup then it need not be the responsibility of Mr. Chappel but it needs to be team responsibility..and to have a good team..first show doors to Ganguly and disciplinary action against Bhajji. Justice delayed = Justice Denied.
It is obvious that Mr.Mahendra was given someting in writing written "by someone" to talk in the press. BCCI has indirectly hinted to Greg that he is wrong.. in making false allegations against our "Prince of Kolkatta"..!!
No professional worth his salt will fabricate stories out of the blue to tarnish somebody's image. What Greg has been doing is "shooting straight" and not "from the hip"..!! Greg's only motto and mission is to prepare a Indian cricket team which is world class in all respects and particularly keeping in mind the next World Cup.And in this process he will need people who are mentally and physically tough to withstand the rigours of modern cricket and not players who might show their calibre under the arclights of product endorsements..!! And this applies to all including Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag..
In the whole episode the BCCI has proved itself to be a toothless tiger and which has created a impression to the Coach and the Captain that .."Please do not bring issues to us which we are incapable to solve OR uncomfortable solve.."
God save the interest of the Indian masses in Indian cricket.
Well written Prem. The BCCI has proved to be bunch of jokers. Why not they open their eyes, see the problem and take bold actions rather than covering the issue and sugar coat it. Is this the best interest of Indian cricket ? BCCI is doing more damages now to the future of Indian cricket by not taking the appropriate action. Oh well, we can't blame BCCI. Can we, while they are entangled in their own war against each other in the election? Ooops. they are not supposed to talk about it..
