very apt anlysis of the ongoing verbal dual between the coach and the captain of the team. does not help the cause of cricket. who is bothered but. we form committees because we do not want to take responsibility alone. we do not go for surgical or serious solutions for we fear the consequences. the correct approach is to find cause and take action. one of the parties is at fault and needs to be removed in the larger interest. regards, mundhra
We have known for ages that for the BCCI, cricket is a hobby. Ah, when you are into cricket purely as a hobby, certainly you are not going to bother with the whole process of who and why and hows. It is only concerned with how to take all the credit and when it has to make painful decision, looks the other way. Indeed!
But I digress. I am an Indian and like 8 out of 10 people, a passionate fan of the game and our team.
For 4 years, we were proud to be led by an aggressive, passionate man helped in no small measure by a foreigner whose passion for a country and its people that had only employed him, embarrassed us.
Now this first man is no longer the "God through the off side" or the master savager of spinners nor a piler of runs anywhere in the batting order. That man is a pale shadow of his former self. His decision taking is painful to watch, aggressive nature has begun to grate on us. As a player, instead of improving, his decline has been fast and continuous. As a captain, most players have lost respect for him.
But I want to win the next World Cup. I want my team to be the best in Tests.
I want another leader. Give me Dravid as Captain and Kaif as his deputy.
Prem...it's not Greg Chappell, who is a liar.Rather,it's this bunch of so-called former cricketing greats Gavaskar,Shastri and Venkataraghvan as also Mahamahim Dalimiya Ji,Mahapurush R.S.Mahindra,Sarvashree S.K.Nayar and other dignitaries like Amitabh Chaudhary and Kiran More. Some of these luminaries are intelligent enough to understand who is to be faulted and whose version has been "far from truth" but will prefer to keep mum as they have their own selfish interests at stake. Some Others are simply not intelligent enough to understand what is in the best interest of Indian Cricket.Rest are mere puppets with no identity of their own.So what has happened was only to be expected. In fact, something other than this would have been a rude shock.Indians have never been known for their toughness but have definitely mastered the art of delaying the enevitable by their week-kneed response. The truth is..every self-respecting person will find it difficult to work in such a setup and Greg is no exception.Let's see how long he will be able to continue with a captain whose character is evident by the interview immediately after the temporary truce and known indisciplined guys like Bhajji and Yuvi.
Prem was right. Why wasn't Greg relieved off work outright, if whatever he said in clear neatly phrased English words, was just miscommuinication, where English to him, is not a foreign language I guess.
May be Board hasn't tied itself down by not saying that it won't speak to the media. Did it? Hope it answers. !!!!!!
Resentment among a group should not surface. Hence it is wise not to post-mortem the non cricketing issues in public. Chappel's email contained lot of non core issues. We do not know what all the six wise men discussed. But if they talked differently, there is one conclusion.Like in team slection there are different opinions, but at the end there is one final decision. In past we have seen lot of ego issues in the team-Wadekar vs Prassanna, Kapil vs Gavaskar. But now in present team it looks some unity is there. Let us not destroy the fabric of unity by too much investigation. The real test of coach, captain, players are in the match results. Let us wait for next 2 series.
as per my opinion Ganguly should sit down as captain & as a player also. he is not able to perform consistently. Mr. Chapple is very much right in his place. A player has not been performed for last three years he is not suppose to continue. Just being a captain has given success depend on others shoulder you should not considered that Ganguly is perfect as a captain. First of all we have to kick out the Jagmohan Dalmia who is backing to Ganguly.

Great statement, first kick out Dalm... then Gang..(Dal me Gang hai = dal me kala hai, because Worldcup ki sawal hai).
So its same old story with BCCI....just negotiate, drag the issue, inconsider public feeling, ignore expert analysis. Hi guys out there looking for lot of Serious things to come out...iam very sorry..after all BCCI is the GOD of Indian Cricket...
