After all, the BCCI is a private company that has Jag Dalmiya and co as torchbearers or palbearers of the cricket. Why should the government allow BCCI to function like that? It should have been dismissed and the government should have formed a federation to run the affairs of cricket like hockey or any other sporting body. Since the BCCI is flush with funds, a handful of people like Dalmiya are playing havoc with the game. For the last so many years, after the first world cup title won by Kapil Dev, the BCCI chieftons are playing the spoilsport with the game. Their main motive is to earn money by making players guinea pigs. Now, none can expect players to display their best talent ever in the field but only in dressing rooms and private mails. Besides, when the country is having so many talented cricketers like Gavaskhar, Vishwanath, Venkatraman, Gaekwad, and Patudi where is the need to look for outside talent as team coach? Why should the BCCI appoint Greg to this post? In all these matters, I pity my fellow Indians to read much about the cricketers, follow the matches at the cost of exams and yet cheated in the matches.
Prem, I completely agree with you. There is just one point that i would like to correct. How can you even think of calling those devoid of brains Wisemen as wise.Ganguly as is pretty evident is so desperate to hang on to his capatanicy tht he might not mind doing odd jobs at the houses of Stupid men.Mr.Dalmiya should stop playing dirty games and if he has any respect for the Tricolor,which i seriously doubt he has he should do something for the country rather than promoting this rot.OR the best thing would be he gets out of BCCI and all the rot will go automatically.FOR THE SAKE OF OUR COUNTRY DO SOMETHING.
That's a succinct but all too simple analysis of the situation, or crudely put, the circus we are forced to be part of. I'm not your average cricket enthusiast, I couldn't care less if saurav stays captain or not. I'm apalled by the lengths we have gone to to resolve differnces adn find solutions. And washing our dirty linen in Public??? Some Gentlemen's game, this!
actually everyone in the board is just trying to play safe..which is ofcourse not in the "Best interest of Indian Cricket". Infact its an embarrasment for Chappel...and "Indian Cricket"..
Its not that Ganguly is not at fault at all.But then he is the favourite of some ppl in the Board..especially Mr Dalmiya.
I feel Chappel should Resign from this job where no one seems to be respecting the opinions of the Coach.
That Rediff is anti-sourav is not a secret . It is obvious that sourav bashing messages and articles will get posted. This is not first time rediff is publishing these articles written by the famous 'crab mentality' indians.
Who will be responsible for the World Cup-2007 carrying a cracking relationship between Skipper and Coatch. Is the board, where lacking right persons to make the right desission. If Sourav is error free, then why is this big issue? Does he want to be the chompion of the Great Indian Lafter Competion Show? Is he not having a forecast, prestige of Indian Skipper? Why he can't win the heart of India Cricket lovers. More than 80% people say him to get out from team. If cant't keep respect the position, he should quit.

Before 'Sati' wasabolished, 80% people would say it was good. Before the first legal wrath on castism came down, 80% people used to follow it blatantly, ...............
So just because more than 80% people (although I doubt the statistics) is saying that Sourav should be out, that cannot be accepted.
Rank and file always resort to rash decisions. That cannot be the yardstick of a judgment.
