Yes, Sourav Ganguly should have played the Ranji Trophy match. But why is he being singled out. Many others who have been selected for the Pak tour have also decided not to play in the Ranji Trophy matches. But there is no hue & cry.
On what authority does Kiran More write to BCCI to ask for an explanation as to why Sourav is not playing. Is he not exceeding his limits. He is a selector not a monitor. And if he has written to BCCI about Sourav, he should have written about other players also who are not taking part.
It seems that his ultimate aim is only to humiliate Sourav. I fail to understand why until there is some ulterior motive. And who is besides him to assist is none other than Greg Chappel, who knew that he cannot make the Indian players slaves / puppets if Sourav is around.
