A warm wish to our most aggressive captain
by mohan on Aug 04, 2005 08:49 PM  Permalink

Hi Sourav

Congrats for reaching the biggest mile stone. I like the way you bat, particularly because you never played for the records and yet you received them with great pride when they came on your way. you had been a great inspiration for many of the younger cricketers and I hope to see you maintain this aggressive attitude. But these days, I donot know why, of late you don't play so aggressively and that confidence and the domonance is missing. So, dear Sourav, please get back to that form and for that just set your mind to go out and play your game. We hope to see you dominating over every bowler once again and this time until you retire from this profession. Good luck dear CAPTAIN.

Congratulate Sourav

Sourav,

Congrats on Completing 10K runs. It's not an easy task to complete 10k in ODIs. You have done it in style. Keep it up. Aim for 15K.

My hearty congratulations to Dada. Though he crossed the milestone, if he would have scored consistantly in the past he would be the quickest to cross 10000.

Selfish Batting from Saurav
by Anuj on Aug 04, 2005 08:45 PM  Permalink

What Saurav displayed on the field against Srilanka was selfish batting his batting average was 46.36 he made 51 runs in 110 balls. Come to think of it,if an opener has this statistic when their are fielding restriction so what would the middle order do,If Irfan would't have made 36 runs we were well below 190 runs.

Saurav was the highest scorer in the batting line up however is strike rate is the lowest which makes no sense in one day international.

It seems from the statistic when saurav went to bat he had one thing in mind to make a good score for himself whether he gets in 100 balls or 150 balls.

one of the most sorry performance in Oneday International.

10000 runs and still people say you can bat. Forgive them they dont know what they are saying.... Want to see you leading the team, I guess Dravid though a brilliant player, does not have the spirit to goad the drooping players of our team..... Imagine Dravid bare chested on Lord's balcony waving his shirt. Now you know why we need our DADA....

congrats!
by Ani on Aug 04, 2005 08:43 PM  Permalink

Congratulations, Sourav! Keep it going. Forget about the captaincy. You are the greatest captain this country has had anyway. Just play your game and let your detractors keep changing their shades of green.
