There have been lot of chit chats about your batting. Infact, even in rediff.com, there have been many articles, commenting about your place in the Team India. Now, they have themself put up an article that you are a great player, after you reached 10,000 runs. Thats how life is. When rediff.com can have Ups and downs,twists and turns in their own articles, why cant you?
keep your ears shut with these reporters. These guys do write bad about people just for publicity. All that I want to ask to all those people who said "Ganguly is the worst player" is, "How the hell did he get 10,000 runs?". did he buy it in the shops? He is much better TEAM MAN, than most of the so called "Super heros" in the team.
ofcourse he is in a slump. But, he will come back with a bang. just keep your hands crossed for a match winning innings in the Srilanka tour. He is the man, who could win matches for India at this moment. ofcourse, Dravid too.
IT is an amazing feat coming at the right time. though of late his performances have not been upto his usual self, the treatment meted out to him by the people is disgraceful.
This landmark is a reminder of the man who top scored for 3 consequetive years in ODIs not only for india but the world. Peple in india raise cricketin stars to the extent of worshipping them when they play well and then curse them to the extent of burning their posters. This is cricket crazy india and its all part of the game.

Sourav has been a gift to indian cricket. He has always led aggressively and taken the fight to the opposition. He has to be credited with the way he has infused metal in the historically soft and non aggressive indian side. Any credit given to him is less for bringing about this transformation. Under his leadership the team rose to new heights and the talent of every player blossomed. Nobody could imagine such heights when the team was down in the dumps during tendulkars captaincy. Add to captaining skills is his phenomenal record as a player. And he has acheived all this while facing continous opposition and humiliation inflicted on him by the press, critics like bedi and sometimes the fans. Now that you are back in the middle we are sure there are more and more and more runs in the offing. Saurav you were the fastest man to crack six (152 matches), seven (180 matches), eight (208 matches) and nine thousand (236) runs in the one day internationals. And you will do that again.
