WINNING WITH BANGLA DESH IS NOT GREAT
by T.K.DAMODARAN on May 26, 2007 02:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I personally feel that Indian Cricket Team lacks team spirit and all round performance efficiancy. The main reason is that the players are fostered and pamphered very much by the media and the advertising agencies. India should be able to defeat Sri Lanka or Austria and then one can say that the players have achieved certain level of team-spirit and love for the Cricket and the country which they are representing. Until and unless, the BCCI is revamped and radical changes are made in the selection of office-bearers including the top boss, Indian Cricket team will continue to suffer. Bangla Desh tour will be definitely a success, but that cannot be rated for measuring the achievements. A National Symposium is required on the subject as to how the required impetus can be incalcuated to the players. Hope the Cricket loving people of India will come forward and voice for revamping the BCCI with lot of changes in the existing office-bearers.

well i personally feel that the indian team is good for nothing.it only knows to waste money.the bcci should go beyond places and search for players who are good and talented.the bcci should go to towns and search. And the new team should focus only on cricket rather than the cine world.the media should also help in not interfering too much..

SOURAV-SACHIN-DRAVID CANNOT BE CAPTAIN IN LONG RUN
by Narad on May 18, 2007 07:15 PM  Permalink

Whoever becomes Captain loses his class as this is a historical curse on Indian Cricket, on the other hand the above 3 are too good a batsman to be sacrificed and they will retire before next WC.

So the best solution would be to groom a younger member, with the big-3 in team scoring & giving rock solid support for next few years before the young Captain settles down in his job

INDIAN CRICKET
by s kar on May 15, 2007 12:50 PM  Permalink

In India cricket has become more of professsion

than a hobby. That is why cricket has become more of sports of individual than public sports. Individually we excell collectively we fail.Change the mind set. India will shine.
