where did go wrong?

i think india going wrong bcoz of their performance.as u saw in the world cup,the batsmen was not so confidentn also the baller. htere is no fault of coach in that.the coach has given his best.the team selection is also good except dhoni, instead of dhoni ,selector should give chance to D.kartik.as he is v.experience batsmen.

Instead of dhoni it should be D.Karthik
Instead of Agarkar it should be Sreeshant
Irfan Pathan can also be there.

Dravid's captaincy was also very bad. No aggression in it.

Where did India go wrong?

I think that the team had over confident in the match that they will pull down the mountain. But there was no proper team setup in which they dont have a mind of unity and dont know how to view widely & play . Than that they are only interested in doing with the advertisments than consentrating in the game for our nation.

I think Indian team was good but they did't take seriously first match and then full pressure was on indian team.As useal Indian team lost matches under pressure against Sri lanka.

Very poor performance
by murali subbu on Apr 05, 2007 02:47 PM  Permalink

i think the team is ok but our players are not confident when compared to the Ausies & Kiwis so the players have to be boosted at the time of the match or at the time of practice session, & each is responsible for the league matches in the worldcup

''WWW- What Went Wrong for india in the world cup 2007?
by sunil kumar on Apr 05, 2007 02:43 PM  Permalink

By chasing a huge total of 434 against the world's strongest cricket team (Austrelia) and winning the match, South African's have shown to the world that "Batting matters much in one day cricket than bowling and fielding". because though they failed in bowling and fielding, they won that match just because of their superb batting.

So, I think that is where indians went wrong. they were unable to cross 200 mark against Bangladesh and unable to score the simple target of 250 against Sri Lanka.

So, there is no need to change the team. if any thing has to be done, then that is to strengthened indian batting line up.

"HOW CAN WE FORGIVE THE GREAT VICTORY OF INDIA AGAINST ENGLAND IN LORDS BY CHASING A TOTAL OF 324" :-)

selection
by prasad marathe on Apr 05, 2007 02:10 PM  Permalink

indian teams selection was not so good. i think that the current indian teams sachin, rahul, sourav, harbhajan, sehvag, youraj, dhoni, agrkar, all tease players retirment period starts now,and i assure that they will take retirment as early , because these players are not taking any type of responsibility on his sholder

ActuallIndia did wrong in their first match by considering Bangla as aweak opponent,Naturally pressure was horrible after that for India. And they did horrible mistakes in the match against srilanka.Any way there are getting millions of rupees from adds, companies, how can they play cricket, and why the will play?lets stop showing their faces in adds, and teach them to play cricket, not in adds but in cricket field.Because no cricket in the world represents 1 billion people other than a Indian cricket player.

Nothing wrong with coach,or selection comitte or grounds,if a country like srilanka which is someware arround 10% of India, can reach semis, what abaut the country in which people say "cricket is not a game its a passion in India"

Tell senior players to sit in house and give chances for the young players who can play for the game and country, not for the adds on their

bat or the companies for which they are representing..

BCCI should make a rule that players cant act in adds or films

Finally "common India, aab to dikha do.."?
