Sony Pix has always been my no 4 channel for English movies. They had finally got my weekend TV time when they advertised our very own version of "On the lot" in "Gateway". But what turned out was a horrible, amateurish show with precious little to evince or retain interest.
At first sight, it seemed that the short films that were bad. It was only after watching the fourth incomprehensible film that I realised the films got chopped to one and a half minutes in the show! How can the most important part be chopped to cater to Mr Boring Amritraj repeating his question, "So is this your first film?"? Wonder who's directing this series; he surely needs to be the first one to be eliminated!
Amritraj also keeps extolling the chance that he's giving these budding film directors in glowing words. Self-promotion is ok, but he has penetrated and radiated "Gateway" so badly that it seems like we're watching, "I'm Amritraj, the champion producer" rather than a reality series about film makers.
Anurag Basu and Rajat Kapoor did nothing spectacular to add to the series, leaving this show with the status it started - that of a great idea. Two thumbs down, Mr Amritraj.

It's a wonderful show unlike the 'Cellphone cast your vote types'and after probably 2 decades, for the first time I'm staying up till 11pm on a Sunday night.I get involved in every story visualised by the contestants there, contemplating how different it could be portrayed and presented,and probably that's why I enjoy the show so much.Can't wait to see who's gonna gallop away with you to L.A.finally. dear and most respected shri amritraj i have a great story line about space which so far nobody would have thoght over or possibly will never think over.it is ideally a spielberg subject i have the seed of the story developing is ur part since i am not in this line of businees .i am sure this will be billion dollar subject.even the title is ready, my requirement is i require payment in dollars to fund my sons education in USA .he is doing his MS in USA completing the first year ms mechanical.i have lost all my wealth in share market the amount if at all i get will help him complete his studies successfully without difficulties..looking forward to ur response since urself u are a great and respected producer of hollywood films sender m.hariharan
