Sounds like a nice place to consider while heading to the hills! Thanks for the lowdown on the interesting places of interest there.

KODAI IS REAL GOOD AND QUIET TOO.IT IS 100 TIMES BETTER THAN OOTY WHICH IS COMMERCILISED LIKE ANYTHING.
GIVEN A CHANCE I WOULD PREFER TO SETTLE AT KODAI.

Yes Kulkarniji , you are absolutely right. OOty is more commericalised. We went to Kodai for the 26th January long weekend and it think its a fab place, great place, to unwind, shill out, theres a lot of cycling, trekking to doo and good places to visit but one must be ready to walk, trek and cycle. It was fun!!!!!!!!!! One must go once in a lifetime to KODAI!!:)

If you don have much time, then u can spend around 3 full days in Kodai.... otherwise 5 or even 6 days is really good, where you can chill out.
AS said, Ooty is too commercialised, however Kodia is also reaching there, but still slightly more pristine.
taking a walk or cycle or jog around the lake area is really lovely anytime of year.
good restaurants (to cater to Indian and NRI and foreigner toungues) are plenty.
